Taste of Italy

Friday night is pizza night.

Chicken Sandwhich. Healthy? No. Good for me? Absolutely.

Where has the time gone?

It's been a while since I last food-blogged, and I've been catching heat for it. Well, not really. Lunch today? Two words: Crackers/Pepsi. These are not even good crackers, they are generic brand saltines with unsalted tops. Somewhat like communion. But the Pepsi makes up for it. I think I've been losing weight. This is an unscientific claim, mind you, since I have not actually weighed myself, but let's just say I have a hunch! Now I just need to work on my posture.

So I've missed a few days worth of posts. I haven't really eaten anything interesting. Lunch yesterday was the same as dinner the day before. Lunch on Monday was the same as dinner on Saturday. Leftovers are interesting like that.

Anyway, for dinner last night, we had tuna and broccoli casserole, with cream of broccoli soup. Notice a theme? The applesauce didn't have any broccoli in it. It was a really good dinner, but I didn't take any pictures.

Here is a picture of dessert from the weekend.

Lunch

I didn't post yesterday, but I'll give you the rundown a little later. Lunch today- sloppy joes, chips, and coke. Eating with family was a nice touch.

Friday is Pizza Night

Ahh, the joy of pizza. I think I had about five slices. Mmm mmm good.

Breakfast of Champions

Fudge brownies. What a breakfast! Thanks to whoever made them.

Dinner's Done

My apologies to all of my faithful readers... I forgot to take a picture of my cheesesteak sandwich prior to eating it.  I can tell you I made it, and it was probably just as greesy as any steak joint would serve up.  But it was really tasty.  I managed to snap a photo prior to cleaning up, so at least my art won't suffer!  Enjoy.

Same Old Same Old

Pretty much the same lunch as yesterday. Cafeteria salad, Pepsi, roll (no sandwich today.) It gets kind of monotonous, but the french dressing isn't bad. Here's a picture. I'm thinking Wendy's tomorrow. Mmmm...

Werther's for breakfast

I love these things. Werther's Original Coffee. And at only 20 cal each, the three I ate for breakfast makes a nice meal!

Nighttime Snack

Well, I don't have a picture, but I did have a half a piece of toast and some Ritz crackers around 10:30... Not as good as last night.

So this marks the one day milestone for this blog, and I'm feeling pretty excited about it. I don't know if anyone else is reading it, but it is definitely worth the effort to have such an exhaustive list of everything I eat. It that doesn't motivate me to eat better, what else will? I dunno.

Well, I guess it's dinner...

It doesn't look like much, but it was rather tasty. Tonight was Alpha at church, as will be every Wednesday, and while it typically isn't gourmet, it is usually worth two servings. Tonight was a two serving night. Roast Beef Stew-like something over rice, and the requisite baked ziti. I also had a slice of pie (not pictured). Healthy? Probably not in the quantity I ate.

Lunch

I had a salad, tuna sandwich and Pepsi for lunch. That makes me feel a little better about the crap I eat all the time. Although someone pointed out that the dressing I had on it was not low-fat, low-cal, so I suppose it wasn't all that healthy. I feel that it also bears mentioning that I just taught a class in which I weighed myself. I am not too pleased with the results. That's enough to motivate.

Mid-Morning Snack

So, in leu of breakfast, I decided to eat a few pretzel rods. No harm, no foul... right?

Wow, I'm hungry.

It's 9:38am and I am starting to reconsider my policy against eating breakfast. A little background: I generally (97% of the time) don't eat breakfast because it makes me feel sick to eat when I'm so tired. I can eat breakfast if i've been up for a few hours, however, work usually prevents this from happening. Monday, I was at a workshop and had a half hour to kill before it began, so I got a sausage, egg & cheese value meal at McD's. But today I'm thinking breakfast, with no options except chips from the vending machine. [photo is not my own...sorry]
